Coventry Open Christmas provides shelter and food to the homeless and lonely over the Christmas holiday. It is a Coventry-based voluntary organisation managed by the "Grub & Gab Club”. To translate this from Midlands English, this means “food and a conversation” emphasising that support comes in many forms. They provide a warm safe space for people to meet, pick up much needed provisions and clothing and also create a welcoming environment offering company, and people to talk to.

The centre in Coventry has been in operation for over 20 years and provides shelter and food to the homeless and lonely over the festive period. To put this in numbers they will be cooking more than 600 meals as well as additional snacks washed down by over 3 000 servings of tea and coffee during the five nights that they open during the festive period.

Katronic Technologies Ltd. are pledging to do what we can to support this process and invite all of our customers and partners to do the same.

We would ask that you send us any of the following:

• Bedding - Clean quilts, blankets, sleeping bags, pillows and sheets.
• Clothing - Coats, jumpers, fleeces, t-shirts, trousers, socks, underwear (new only please), hats, gloves and scarves.
• Toiletries - Toothbrushes, razors, soap, shower gel, aftershave and shaving foam, towels, face cloths, wipes, sanitary items and deodorants.
• Food (Non-Perishable) - Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, sugar, UHT milk, squash, cakes, mince pies , biscuits, crisps, sweets, chocolates, tinned meat/fish, baked beans, tinned spaghetti, soup, tinned vegetables, tinned fruit, tinned custard, breakfast cereal, brown/red sauce, mustard, pickles, salt, pepper and cooking oil.

If you would like to participate in this we will be collecting all the items at our premises in Coventry and will then delivery them before we close for the Christmas holiday on the 22^nd December.
