Katronic Win Export Award

Growth in the global sales of the KATflow range of clamp-on flowmeters has helped Katronic to win the prestigious Coventry Telegraph Export Award for 2013.

The staff of Katronic were presented with their award at a gala awards ceremony held at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry. The black-tie event was superbly hosted by BBC TV presenter Kay Alexander and was a credit to the staff at the Ricoh who had obviously worked very hard to ensure the success of the evening.

This was the first time that Katronic have been honoured with one of the awards which are presented annually. As the name suggests, the awards are organised by the Coventry Telegraph newspaper and recognise business achievement in Coventry and the West Midlands and showcases some of the top companies in the area.

Coventry Telegraph editor Alun Thorne, who sat on the judging panel, described Katronic as "a smart operation which impressed....doing business in nearly half the countries on the planet. Using the lingual skills of its staff and a focus on emerging markets, this is a company with a real growth profile".

Katronic regard the award as a considerable success and one which reflects the investment that the company has made into export. To quote Andrew Sutton, Managing Director of Katronic Technologies, "my initial and overwhelming reaction was one of great pride in what we have managed to achieve as a company...the award also gave us the chance to reward members of staff whose efforts in areas such as production and R&D do not get seen by our customers".
